What is a Net?
An amateur radio net is a scheduled on-air gathering where operators check in to a net control station. Nets serve many purposes — from casual roundtable discussions to emergency communication drills and traffic handling.
How to Check In
- Tune to the net frequency at the scheduled time
- Listen for the net control station to call for check-ins
- When called, give your callsign clearly
- Follow the net control's instructions
