WSPR Propagation Map

Live WSPR (Weak Signal Propagation Reporter) spots from wspr.live. WSPR beacons transmit low-power signals on every band — wherever they're heard tells you exactly where propagation exists right now. The map is centered on Castroville, TX (EL09) with the closest reporting station highlighted.

How WSPR Works

Stations run low-power (typically 200mW–5W) beacons on designated WSPR frequencies. Receivers decode these signals and report them to a central database. Each spot proves a propagation path exists between the transmitter and receiver on that band at that moment.

Reading the Map

  • Green arcs = strong signal (high SNR)
  • Red arcs = weak signal (low SNR)
  • Amber = closest reporter to MCARC
  • More arcs on a band = better propagation
